My mom is a hair stylist and told me that herbal essences and suave make hair shinny because it puts a layer of wax on your hair! Gross!!! A great cheap shampoo and conditionor are Loreal and Dove. I wouldn't trust anything else.

I love herbal essences there are many kinds for different hair types. I used to only use salon sold shampoo's but now I use this because it is just as good and 1/3 of the price....way cheaper. Hello hydration is the type I use and it has a great matching conditioner, you should try them too.

For me the best shampoo that I usually used is Dove. It has 3 types of shampoo, white for normal hair, blue for bad hair(hair that is so dry, easily be pulled, etc), and for anti-dandruff. But all of them make ur hair becomes smoother and it also has conditioner for each colour that will make it becomes much much more smoother. But every person's hair is different I can't really judge what shampoo should u use. But it's worth a try ,though.

i dont stick to one shampoo for a long time, because based on my experience, almost all shampoos i used made my hair dull after continued use. So i tried sticking to one brand for 1 week then another brand and another

Suave brands are easy to afford and have nice smells. I use it. You can get shampoo and a conditioner of about a dollar each.
