Yes, "taking advantage" of a drunk girl could be considered rape in that way.
Especially if he got her drunk for this purpose.
If you watch movies, often the "noble" man won't sleep with the girl in this situation, just for that reason. - See "The Cutting Edge" for example.

first, you sound more like a guy asking that, like you are looking for ideas, but i will answer anyway... women weigh less than men and will get drunk easier from the same amount of alcohol, so if a guy and girl are drinking the same amount she will be drunk faster... i don't think anyone wants to be raped (by definition its not consensual), so I don't think even a "hussie" would be into that.
The victim is never at fault in a rape, only the aggressor. I don't think its smart to get drunk at a party unless you have someone looking out for you, but its not a girl's fault except that you have to just protect yourself.

Yes, alcohol can be used to rape women. There are many cases of that. According to some reports, some men even mix in some sedative in the alcohol to further make the women unable to fight or resist the assailant.
Then again, some women are just a bit too careless with their drinking. There are also many cases where women just got too drunk (that) their judgment was impaired so they unwittingly end up getting raped. Some women, due to excessive drinking, suddenly "black-out" and then find themselves naked --- and raped --- the next day.
It's a case-to-case basis and I do think it would be unfair for the raped to called "stupid hussies".
The lesson there is that women should always drink in the company of the people she really trusts. And, of course, drinking is fun, but they should be done in moderation.
As for men, it's a sad thing that some of them have balls for brains. But there are laws to deal with them.
Just my opinion. :-)

Of course alcohol is involved in some cases of date rape. Rape is NOT sex -- it is a violent powerplay by usually a man against a woman. More people are using "date-rape" drugs in drinks as well, to knock the woman unconscious.

I am speaking from experience. You can be so intoxicatd that you cant move. I have always been the smart one in my group. I never let anyone go anywhere alone. We ALL went together, or nobody went at all. A few years ago, I had been drinking since like noon (holiday weekend) and it was around 130am, and we were invited to an after hours party. My friedns let me ride with the guy who had invited us because they had to drop one of the other girls off. He said that he would give them directions when they called him. They called and called and called and he just didnt answer his phone. I remember feeling his phone vibrate on my leg. Since I had been drinking for 12 plus hours, I was in blackout pass out mode, and I could barely move let alone walk or try to fight him off. I do remember saying no to him about 6 or 7 times, but it didnt matter. He had been drinking but he was not drunk. So yeah it can happen. Be careful with who you hang out with. If you are drinking especially if you are drinking large amounts please be sure to be around people that you trust. People who will not allow you to go anywhere with anyone alone. The girls who let me go did not know any better. I had gone out on a date with this guy a few months previously, so they thought it was okay. They felt really bad. Drunk or not stay with your friends!!!!

Yes. Alcohol clearly dampens your perception of what is really going on, therefore, a lot of people make stupid decisions.

i dont think it should be considered date rape. the girl new exactly what she was drinking, and if she doesn't know when to quit, then she has no businesses drinking. as far as that goes, my rule is either we are both sober, or we are both drunk.only way to keep it fair.
