I set up my network already and the ps3 can see the laptop and everything. and i made media sharing enabled.
the problem is that when i try to choose the video on the ps3 that is on my laptop, it wont play. it says that there is a network error. same goes for my pictures which i cant view on my ps3. however i can play music from my laptop on my ps3.
so how come the music works, but i cant view my pictures or videos?

Try to use tversity program ( www.tversity.com ). Follow the provided instructions for certain ports and firewall functions.
