i meditate everyday. it hurts my back to sit my spine up dead straight. alot of tension builds up in my upper back around the shoulder blades. will this go away if i practice straightening my back everyday????? that is my question. thanks

Try sitting on a phone book, a thick one like from a major city. Then, each day, remove a page. By the time you get to the bottom, you'll be used to it and it won't hurt anymore.

Try starting with your neck and it will probably have the greatest effect on your upper back.
