the bible was compiled not several years after Christ, but several CENTURIES after Christ. There were several epistles and gospels that were corrupted, that is, very bad versions of Latin, and a couple of inaccurate versions in Scythian or Greek. (Such as the Gospel of Bartholomew.) In THAT version, although corrupted the Apostles are clearly intimidated by her virginity, and for any to approach her, they entreat a virgin (from amoung the Apostles) to approach and ask her a specific question. (This event taking place after Christ's ascension.)
I find that the bible is an interesting tool for our growth in faith, but there are many many more sources, valid sources that for reasons of time and dust, cannot be included. However, when you read such works, your heart leaps with recognition, and I would dare say that the apocyphal book of Bartholomew is one of these books.
The Gospels are focused mainly upon the Advent of the Christ amoung us, and our immediate salvation because of it. That is why there is very little of His youth, or of His earthly parents and grandparents included. These stories were not deemed worthy of inclusion by St Jerome, whose task it was to compile the New Testament.
The only obscure thing that I may tell you is that St Luke was supposed to have been the Blessed Virgin's physician, and he also was an artist reputed to have painted the first portrait (in the form of an icon) of Our Blessed Mother.

One thing is absolutely certain - Mary did not remain a virgin.
Mary said when told by angel Gabriel that she would have a son "How is this to be, since I am having no intercourse with a man?" (Luke 1: 24)
That soon changed.
Jesus had at least four brothers -James; Joseph; Simon; and Judas (not THAT Judas) and at least two unnamed sisters.
Matthew 13:55; 56 - Mark 3: 31; 32.

Mary was a virgin only up until Christ was Born, and that Ever-Virgin, Catholic crap, has no bases in the Bible, if you take the time to read the Bible. The bible makes it quite plain that she had other children.

specific, the Bible is practically rather the main stable decision of information to return to us from antiquity. I doubt that the different decision of information, such because of the fact the sayings of Confucius or Buddha, are everywhere close to as precise because of the fact i do no longer think of the thought that the wrath of God would be inflicted upon the copiers in the event that they edit what grow to be previously written grow to be ever interior the suggestions of copiers of different religions. as properly, it quite is amazingly difficulty-unfastened for archaeological excavations in Israel to ascertain information that have been previously doubted, which in simple terms does not ensue if what grow to be written interior the Bible grow to be in simple terms made up. touching directly to information the Bible, at the same time because it quite is obviously no longer possible to one hundred% comprehend the Bible, the info, which contain loving your neighbour as oneself or salvation by applying grace, are actually not basically concepts that are quite translated, they're quite understood besides. So don't be fooled by applying people who could no longer care approximately what's written interior the Bible, pay attention to those that do care and have faith they're to blame to God for what they say.

She was a virgin until after Jesus was born. She was a virgin at the time she became pregnant with Jesus. She had no relations with her husband until after Jesus was born. She had other children later though. They were Jesus' half brothers and sisters. If you believe the Bible then you believe she was a virgin, read the new testament.

Luke 1: In the sixth month, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, 27to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin's name was Mary. 28The angel went to her and said, "Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you."
29Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. 30But the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. 31You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. 32He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, 33and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end."
34"How will this be," Mary asked the angel, "since I am a virgin?"

Mother Mary and son Jesus are two historically lived persons who are wronged till date attributing miracles in their life that could not have happened in violation of the rules of nature. Jesus was noble and rebellious against an orthodox community and that did his end.
