We will all just have to wait and see, I hope Smoke has a good yr, cause I do not want to have to listen to him all season, if he has a bad yr...I think JGR has the guys to get it done, hopefully Smoke will win a race, he's not my favorite but he is a cool guy, and I love his radio show on Sirius radio.

There is too much talent and resources on that team for them to not have a good year. Not to mention that Toyota will be giving them so much support it won't be funny. I do however; predict that Kyle Busch will get the first victory. There isn't another driver out there that has as much to prove as he does after being dumped by HMS for Dale Jr. Not to mention, he's got the COT figured out pretty well.

The only problem that I see with JGR next year is that there isn't any real leadership among the drivers. There are three of the biggest egos and "personalities" all in the same camp, and there could be some real issues among them. Tony is a great driver and a veteran of the sport, but he hasn't proven that he's ready to be a leader yet. He doesn't practice what he preaches (Matt Kenseth, Daytona), and it's hard for drivers like Busch and Hamlin to respect that.

Even if I am not a Toyota fan I am a fan of Tony Stewart and Joe Gibbs racing.
I think that this is the breakout year for Toyota. With the strength of Joe Gibbs Racing this looks to be a good year shaping up.The first events at speed weeks should give a thumbnail sketch of Toyota with a "major" team behind it.
Look for Tony(or any driver of JGR ) to have a breakout year.

If you look at the line-up, Tony Stewart, Denny Hamlin & Kyle Busch, chassis are the same and Toyota was figuring out their powerband issue through mid-season last year I say they will not miss a step. The main thing is that Toyota will have something to compare to using JGR's past seasons instead of trying to figure out a new team's abilities such as with MWR.

I wished Joe Gibbs had stayed with Chevrolet. But if Toyota does what they promise, Tony Stewart will be a chase contender next fall. I predict at least one win for Tony, Denny & Kyle Busch in 08, but several top 10's.

If Michael Waltrip can finish 10th at Talladega in a Toyota, then the Gibbs drivers should do just fine.

I think this is one of the great mysteries of the upcoming season. JGR is a class outfit and certainly their drivers are top of the list guys. The wild card here is of course Toyota. Toyota seemed to be getting their act together toward the end of the season. Can they carry that forward is the big question. This is a wait and see for me.

I was sorry to see Toyota allowed in Nascar not because they are Japanese but because they bully their way into racing series by buying top drivers, teams and technologies. They add another layer of spending and force everyone else into a spending frenzy.

Gibbs cars will do as well next year as they did this year. Gibbs will adapt the Chevrolet technology into the Toyotas and they will be competitive from the start. the unknown is the lighter Toyota engine block. I see hard running Toyotas but maybe a few lost engines when they are up and running hard. A few bugs to work out but hundreds of millions of dollars, access to the Toyota equipment and people plus the Chevrolet technologies will have them running strong.

MWR & RED BULL & BILL DAVIS had the 2006 off Season and all of 2007s racing season to be competitive and werent. I dont think JGR can in 2 months fix everything about the Toyota and be contenders!!!!!!!

i think of Stewart will pass away JGR on the top of this season if he can. He certainly won't renew his settlement. he's calling for possession and/or fairness. With the effects and fines that have been levied this week, Haas CNC in basic terms have been given an outstanding purchase greater low-value. domicile Depot going with him - in all risk. Zippy - possibly.
