Been reading the Pentateuch, haven't you?
The first five books of the Bible' the "Books of Moses" contain a lot of information regarding the ages of people who lived for several hundred years.
Don't make the mistake of assuming the Bible is merely telling us how long someone lived. If it was, there has to be a reason. There is a reason of course, but it's not merely to give us a number.
I mean, what do we gain - specifically - from knowing the exact age to which they lived? The answer is nothing, other than the fact they lived unnaturally long lives.
The exact age to which they lived is not nearly as important as the reality that these people were touched by God, and given some sort of Divinely bestowed upon power/authority which they had over their contemporaries. What better way for God to show that a given person was the God-appointed leader than to give them unnaturally long life-spans?
We don't know their exact ages, or how long they lives. But we do know that they could not have acheived their freakishly long life-span if not for the direct aid/intervention of a Higher Power.

Fossil formation is a matter of favorable conditions to the preservation of the dead animals. We have found the fossils of just a fraction of the animals that were alive.
With respect to the Biblical characters in Genesis before Abraham, very little information is available about WHERE they diedor how they were buried. The archeologists just don't dig where they darn please, they have to know where the areas that are most likely to yeild results are, since people are putting up $$ to back their work. Moreover, even if someone "found" a human bone and could date it back to the Genesis times, their is no certainty that the bone found is that of a given individual, since there is no reason to expect that the long-lived people (if they did exist) were anatomically any different from any other people.
As for the fictional point, just because a work of literature includes fictional material does not mean that it not worth reading or is not inspired.

Actually, only the bible characters that lived prior to the flood lived that long. After the flood, the lifespans began to shrink drastically.
So, if those people actually existed at all, their bones probably were washed away and are now buried in deep mud under the ocean.
What would be more interesting to find would be the bones of the giants that the bible said existed. Supposedly, when the Hebrews came up from Egypt to the "promised land", the whole area had a bunch of giants in it. Eventually the Jews managed to kill them all off. Since there was a country full of these giants, it seems like at least a few of these gigantic bones should be somewhere in Israel. I haven't ever heard of anyone finding any giant skeletons there, however.

Scientist made a study...how are fossils made, well they thought that fossils wer made by swamp water, so they took some wood and let it sit in swpa water with some other things but it didn't work so tehy tested other things and they thoguth back to the "flood" the one inthe bible. SO they took some wood and then imagined that the water that came from the flood must of had alot of pressure and they did so the water was very pressured and soon the wood turned into a fossil, dinasours were real, and the pressure of the water and the fastoverflow mudslide of dirt made fossils, not all the people from the bible lived at the same time of the flood so they simply died and rotted...you may not belive it thats fine but read this and you'll know, "in six days"

They also claim that the world was created 4400 years ago so why fossils at all ? and mummified bodies could last that long with relics to show who they were but still no evidence . And many of them supposed to be kings ? . Strange that Christians should claim they have proof and not be able to produce anything at all .
Did a crispie just site Dr. Dino as a proof isn't he on his way to prison for FRAUD ! And most of the so called religious artifacts were tourist crap sold to people on pilgrimage to the holy-land in fact it was such a big business at the time a certain man decided to become a prophet and cleanse the religion { what was his name again oh yeah Muhammad right } .

I have never and will never understand why people have a sick fascination with digging people up after they've died. Personally, I don't know what they have found or think they've found. The best thing to do is leave people where they are at instead of digging folks up.

This is a very true observation . There are no historical records such as census or taxation records of people who lived hundreds of years . Likewise we have no works of such a person ( paintings , writings , etc.) . We have no detailed accounts of the works performed by these people , e.g. did they design a bridge and 100 years later design a building ? Why weren't these things reported in the Bible . Why weren't they reported in the ancient writings of other races , or did only the Jews live that long .
Varvava ! ... Did you just make that up ? It is sooooooooooo rediculous !

Yes, that is a clear point, the bible characters may be fictional, but who is to say (Besides Biblical Literalists, Fundamentalists.) they are? Just because Christians believe in their faith, this doesn't mean that they have to take the dates and people in the bible literally and it doesn't mean they dont. If you have read the bible each story has a lesson, and this lesson is what the author intended he/she did not intend to write a history book.

No, it simply proves the right conditions were lacking to preserve the human remains. It takes very specific conditions to preserve fossil remains. It takes quick death, no predators disturbing the remains. Remains must be covered by something like tar that will preserve them undisturbed for many hundred years.
You might want to do a little more research before you make your assertions of fictional Bible characters.
