Christianity first set up the threat - If you don't accept, Then you will go to Hell. This is the predicament.

An example of this is if I tell you that Everyone in Central Park will be tortured to death if they do not carry a can of Coca Cola.
If you accept, then you will go to Central Park and tell people you can save them. Thus the Evangelist is created.

Good is everything that takes you toward God, Evil is everything that takes you away. But the only route is through Jesus. If you can't accept that, then you're destined to the consequences of Evil, and not being sorry about it makes it Unforgiveable.

So to be saved, first you have to accept their idea that you will be damned if you don't accept it. If you can accept that NOT believing is punishable by a Jealous and Vindictive God, then you need to ask to be Saved.

It's a crazy formula, but then, there are many crazy people for which it works fairly well.

3. Why is it your fault? That's because, if you are too ignorant to accept The Truth that you must carry a Coke in Central Park, then you Deserve to be Damned.

"Christians, what does it mean to be saved?"
It means that we have peace with God.

"1. What are you being saved from?"
What separated us from God. A nature that keeps us away from God.

"2. How did you get into this predicament?"
We were born that way. All humankind are born that way. The condition of having peace with God is gained because it was lost long ago.

"3. Why is it now YOUR fault?"
You are generalizing greatly now. The condition I have been telling you about, it's affected all of our lives, not just those who are aware of it. So asking me why it's my fault is a rather one-sided way to ask this question. Why are we so faulty is what I would have asked.

So why do we do wrong? Because it's in our nature to do wrong. That's why we make wrong choices, that's why we can't typically see spiritual things, that's why we die. That's why we get diseases, that's why we get sick, that's why we run out of breath.

We are not what we are going to become. What God offers is a counterbalance to all of this. His Spirit is acting within us, we who are saved. His Spirit offsets much of the nature to do wrong, to get sick, to see spiritual things as better than these material forms all around us.

So fault is implied by the very incompetence that we reflect in what we do. The weakest are the most aware of this. The worst of us who are able to recognize how incapable we are, are the most grateful to God. So, there is strength in weakness. His strength becomes our strength.

So being saved has a lot of meanings. It means peace, safety, prosperity, and a promise of inheritance.

Being saved means accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior (or Redeemer to some people) and repenting of your sins. You then live for the Lord. (You still gotta work and pay taxes and stuff tho). The only thing you're being saved from is an eternity of hell, fire, and brimstone. We get into this predicament because, as humans, we are born into sin. If you want to place blame on anyone for this, then that would be Adam and Eve.

I am a Christian-Here is how it works-
first- you need to understand that all people have a problem-have you ever done something wrong???Everyone has-this problem, it is called sin-it is NOT YOUR FAULT-it is something that we are all born with;a sin nature-it started in the beginning of the world-in the Garden of Eden.God created the first man and the first woman-they were tempted to sin by the devil-they sinned, and the relationship that they had had with God was broken-they were sentenced to a physical death-and at the time of their sin. Until the time of Christ's death on earth, the Isrealites sacrificed animals to God-to show their repentence for their sin. Then, when God sent His Son to earth -He(Jesus)Gave His life so that ALL people could be saved from sin(which sentences a person to death forever in hell-a real place-)the people now did not need to kills animals to pay for their sin-Jesus Christ's Blood covered their sins. All they -and we -need(ed) to do is to ask Him to forgive us from our sins- and HE will.
I was Saved when I was four years old -I have never been alone-Jesus has promised to always be with me.I have always had joy-even through the hard times-HE IS WITH ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!Once you ask Him to come into your heart and clean you from your sins, you can have the same experience.
Once you are saved, don't expect to be PERFECT! you are a new person inside, but you will never be perfect until you go to heaven when you die-unless He comes back before you do.
In order to be saved, all you have to do is pray -"Dear Jesus, I believe that you died for me and my sins,I am asking you to come into my heart and take me to heaven to be with you when I die-Thankyou Lord.
Amen"
A Bible(King James Version)is the thing to get after you are saved-check out John 3:16,Genesis1:1-6,and try to read in the book of John as much as possible-If you don't understand everything -don't worry, God will reveal things to you one day at a time.
A local Baptist Church is a good place to attend-on Sundays and Wednesdays-even if you chose not to be saved right now, they can answer any questions that you might have :)
I hope and pray that this helps.
P.S. if you do get saved please post it so I can see Thankyou
ME!!!!!(saved for eleven years and not turning back!!!!!)

Being saved is a term used by the Lord. The scripture teaches us that all have sinned, all of us are not worthy to spend eternity with the Lord. Every person on earth is terribly wicked compared to the perfect holy God of heaven, and all of us deserve to be thrown into hell. Nobody wants that,of course. So to be saved means that we are saved from eternal damnation away from God. We are saved out of the fire of hell, purely by our faith in the work of Christ, who took our place. He was perfect; we are not. He was sacrificed to pay the price for us so we wouldn't have to spend eternity in hell.

How did we get into this? Adam and Eve did this, by disobeying the ONLY command given to them- not to eat of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. When they did, they became aware of evil, and their disobedience separated them from God. God can't stand sin in His presence. He is too holy. He is absolutely perfect, without sin. He is all powerful, all knowing, absolutely 100% pure in thought, action and word. He cannot stand anything evil in his presence. Every human born from the beginning of time had the same sinful nature as Adam. We could not help being born with a sinful nature. It is not necessarily our fault- which is why God made a way out for those who choose to believe.
When we choose to believe that Jesus paid the price for us so we wouldn't have to be thrown into hell, we get a free ticket out. It's that simple. God doesn't want to lose any of us. He wants to save all of mankind, but our free will only allows Him to save us if we want to be saved. You can't save a drowning man if he refuses to grab the lifeline.

ok.
you are being saved by your sins... everyone that ever lived has sinned. except Jesus of course.
the sinful nature of people.
because everyone sins, everyone must be forgiven... and that is where Jesus comes in. He saved us all from our sins, even though he commited none.
no one makes you sin. so it is our fault that we sin.. yes.
