My doctor up and moved a yr ago to another state. I hadnt been to her office in almost a yr and now i need to find a new doc and i need my old records....where do i search? Obviously the office number has been turned off with no forwarding info....Plz Help.

I used it when I had the same problem with my son's records. I used the links to track down the Dr's new location & so forth.
The second part is some medical associations have groups which keep a file of your medical records. Some can be obtained from your Insurance company or local hospital. You do not have to have old records to see a new dr. Just give the new dr. the important info till you can track down what's needed. Good luck! Hope this helps.

You'd have to call your old doctor's office to get that stuff. I don't know of any other way. Sorry.

Maybe try contacting the hospital or something. They should at least have SOME of your records, and they might even have a new number for your old doctor.

Call the hospital(s) where the doctor had privileges and ask for the medical records department. Tell them the situation, and they should be able to help. Doctors are not allowed to destroy medical records, and your doctor would have stored them appropriately.
