It takes time but if you start reciting God's name and start doing positive things and get counting them. You should go to some religious place and read some religious books, their translation in your easy language which you can understand. I can suggest you to visit "srigurugranth.org" when you got to understand the language you must attain positive thinking shortly.

You have half answered the question your self dear. Once you have identified that there is negetive thought half the work is done ! Same once you know the Positive needs to replace the negetive the other half of solution is provided ;-)))
Now the trick is to do this unconciously! But that part will start after a small excercise. Just dwell your mind on your past and see what it is flashing . If all is negetive , stop there at each situation and tell your mind that you have learned the lesson and move on ! Slowly you will feel light mind. I assure you once you acknowledge your lessons the other part will be easy. The other part is now to fill the negetive area with positive area. Please "INTEND" i.e I intend that I am feeling good , I Intend I am healthy ... etc what ever you want and focus on any belief system you follow ( i.e God , Bhagwan , Allah , Jesus , Shiv Jee) and lo and behold all in place. Like all habits (good or bad ) , give this 21 days to flourish .See the change and thank your self for the change .

Not being in one true self gives rise to all these! We should know/discover our uniqueness/talents/skills(which every one of us undoubtedly have),develop that special of us( not hankering after what others want us to be or what we think one should become by looking into others) and be that, practise that, make it our job. This will give us confidence, makes us look up and focus; there will be no room for negative thoughts, then!
Alternately, replace negative with positive ,the moment you notice the negative;keep some positive thoughts that you can muster on hand to replace it!
The best of course is to quieten all thoughts!Sit for 10 to 15 minutes without any thoughts and feelings, create an empty space within yourself( this is Meditation: increasing the interval between thoughts), twice a day(morning and evening will do) on a relatively empty stomach ,make being silent/ empty/calm a habit at least for some time during the day; then you will see that the power of thoughts especially negative thoughts gets weakened and a new energy,a new insight on life will emerge in you.Good Luck!

Focus on the positive. Each time something positive happens, dwell on that. If a negative thought creeps in, replace it with a positive one. It can be something as simple as admiring the sunset, the blue sky, when people are nice to others or whatever. It takes practice and effort. It is easy. Just start and keep at it. I hope that helps.

just think positive,do positive and see positive.
You know pretty well what your negative thoughjts are and why do you think those thoughts?
Similarly you know pretty well what positive thoughts are?So just think about thoughjts.
The formula is ,whatever causes any type of weakness in you is a negative thought.
Whatever makes you strong is a positive thought.
SAID EASIER,BUT VERY DIFFICULT TO CONQUER LUST,ANGER ,etc but be patient and as a friend said, chanting the name of God alone can remove all negative thoughts.

Many psychologists claim that what you say loudly and repeat to yourself often gets into your mind. So one simple way is to write down positive thoughts like "I feel good" ,"Iam confident",:Life feels great".... and say them as often as you can.
This same technique is used in various Hindu mantras which are positive sayings in sanskrit.

Only thing to love people without expectation:
When we feel love and kindness toward others, it not only makes others feel loved and cared for, but it helps us also to develop inner happiness and peace
