when u have two pictures are only on the computer.
not on a digital camera or anything like that its just stored on the computer.

With film and print paper or with a particular digital editing program. Directions are different for each one.
With print paper, you have to expose the background with a mask the shape of the cropping, then change the negative and expose the insert using a reverse of the first mask (one with a hole) to let the light through, shifting (dodging) the mask to get soft edges.

if you are using potatoshop (Adobeee product), you might simply set the frame crop size / portion, and it will chop each and every picture into exactly the same size / portion.

Use Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Paint, or Corel Draw.

Use "cut" and "paste" or "crop" and "paste".

well, this is pretty compicated and requires Adobe Photoshop. This is a $1000 program, and really,who has $1000 to spend?? What I do is go to www.makemypictureperfect.com, and they do the editing for me!!!
