I have a friend who is moving to NC and would like to get an office job working with a Nascar team. Any ideas or help would be great.

Pretty much the same as getting a job at any company. send them a resume and go from there. they prefer the old school method of mailing/faxing resumes, but check their websites for info.

My suggestion would be to go to all the race shops and drop off resumes. Also watch the local want-ads. If your friend has the skills required for the job then maybe good things will happen. Keep in mind a lot of people would like to work for a NASCAR team. The competition may be fierce.

I would submit resume's to teams and the NASCAR headquarters itself. I would suggest that then trying to get an interview and then applying to some of the broadcasting networks like Fox, ESPN, ABC, and Speed, in order to get some experience and you would get to work with NASCAR.

Send resume to the various NASCAR teams stating quailifications and education.
Look up the various NASCAR sites that have jobs listed and see if they fit your skills.

I would check out the website for each particular team that they would be interested in. Get as much information as you can and in some cases you can apply on line. I would go a step farther and apply in person and be persistent and try more than once. Understand that they get numerous people trying to get their foot in the door. Your friend needs to separate himself from others. Understand that it will not be easy, but do not give up.

I'd just google the race team you'd like to work for.. get the address and go apply in person. Beef up your resume, dress in your nicest clothes, and go out and be somebody!!! lol.. No really, Just go out and TRY.. That's all you can do. No one on this forum can help you land a job!

Probably like any other job. You need certain qualifications, a good work history and know your NASCAR. Good luck in your job search.

Some great suggestions so far. The one thing that I would add is try and find somebody who can refer you. "Who you know" is just as important as "what you know" when it comes to finding a job. I'm not saying that it's a requirement, but it will definitely help you out a great deal.
