Is something wrong with me? I'm 19. I feel like I'm just enjoying my life while I'm still young, but I feel guilty.

It's very hormonal to feel the need for fleshly desire. And no spiritual upbringing can deny nor restrict those carnal desires. By sleeping around you desire happiness that you bring not only to yourself but to be part of what your peer group is into. The reason for the guilt is that sometimes you feel that you have been exploited and used. And that's again, the way things happen. There are no guarantees that you'll find true love by experimental sex.

Take a moment to reevaluate what you want out of a sexual relationship. And assuming you are aware of the proper use of contraception and how to avoid mean people; go ahead and enjoy yourself by sleeping around. But make sure that those who may object to your experimenting, know that you are steadfast and determined to bring happiness to others, through joyful intercourse. And that there should not be any competition going on which would put your friends at a disadvantage. Avoid sleeping with any boyfriend of your girlfriends.

Good luck!

Since you were raised in a Christian home, you know about the free will that God gave us all. You are now of age to make your own choices as to how to live. Just remember that what they say about there being a season for everything is true and that seasons end, giving way to new weather. What you find all right to do today may not feel quite so right tomorrow and you will find that a change is needed in order for you to feel right about things again. Although you may feel that God isn't needed in your life now, there will come a day you may cry out to Him for help or for forgiveness. He will answer and forgive you because He loves you so very much. But it is within your heart and mind that you must decide if something is wrong with you or not. You mentioned that you feel guilty, so I ask you why, if you make the choice to live as you please, do you let a little guilt bother you? I t must be that you feel yourself that there is something wrong. Does that not indicate to you that maybe a change is needed now? This is something between you and your own conscience and no one else can answer this question but you from within your own heart and mind. It is all about making choices. Every single minute that we live this life, we learn. Is it time for a new season?

First of all, it's good that you feel guilty and want some answers for it. The fact that you feel guilty about whatever immoral things you currently do means that the Holy Spirit is causing you to realize what you are doing is wrong. He is asking you to turn from your ways and come back to Him.
And no, there is nothing "wrong" with you. A lot of people wander away from the Lord when they are your age. I know, I was there at one time. That is not abnormal at all. BUT, you should not settle for the status quo and decide to “go with the flow”. The Lord has a wonderful future planned for you. Course I don’t know what caused you to “drift away” from the Lord. The world, devil, and our flesh all have different tactics that cause us to decrease our intimacy with Him. But whatever it may be that has caused you to hurt your relationship with the Lord, please stop doing it. Yes, a number of people say they want to enjoy their life while they are still young, BUT, what happens if you get in a car wreck tomorrow, fall down some stairs, have a heart attack, are in a plane crash, etc.? We ALL need to remember that our life here on Earth could end one second from now by one of billions of ways. A good thing for every Christian to remember is that this Earth is not our home, we’re just passing through. So try and stay focused on the Lord at all times.
This is one website that will help you come back to the Lord. It talks about the existence of God, and how to develop a relationship with Him. http://www.everystudent.com/journeys/nothing.html
I will pray for you Saiila. Take care, and God bless you. Zach.

You feel guilty because of the truth that is in you is convicting you.

Question: "Is something wrong with me?"

Answer:
Now I don't consider myself a Christian and I sleep around.?

"I'm 19. I feel like I'm just enjoying my life while I'm still young, but I feel guilty."

That is the Spirit of God communicating with you. He wants you back before you do something stupid.

Sounds like the Lord is dealing with you about this. You feel guilty because deep down you know that what you are doing is wrong.
Thinking that you are enjoying your life by sleeping around is the way satan is deceiving you. Repent and give your life back to the Lord. You can enjoy your life many ways and not sleep around and make a bad name for yourself.

God Bless, I am praying for you.

"Enjoying your life"? Huh? Sleeping around and feeling guilty doesn't sound like enjoyment to me, sounds like some pretty bad stuff.

I am a Christian and I have a great life, better than if I was not a believer.

I think you need to be honest with yourself, because you aren't and your conscience is getting to you with the guilt.

Think on that. Then make better decisions from now on...before it's too late.

Yes you are feeling guilty, because you are being convicted, you know what you are doing is wrong, and continuing to do it, and The Holy Spirit cannot be in you, to do these things, you would stop, and live the life God wants you to live.
Let me ask you something, what do you get out of it?
Does it make you feel young, sleeping around would make you used, and washed up, trashed,
God has no use for sin, and you know this, and you know that you can go to Jesus and be forgiven and have a life with the Lord, Is it worth throwing all away, God has to give you, God probably has a soul mate for you, but you will be unable to find him until you turn to the Lord, you will be unhappy as long as you are working against yourself, and falling into the devils snares, when he uses his tools to make you think, its okay cuz you are still young.
Once you get out of that mind set, and ask the one that really loves you, who knows what is best, and what will make you happy, you will find true happiness, but not until. bad things always happen out of sin.

My rule of thumb for myself is: if you feel guilty about something you like doing, figure out why. If it's something important, something that could cause pain or heartache either to you or to somebody else, then don't do it.

If you feel guilty just because somebody told you that you should, maybe it's time to reassess the truth and validity of that feeling.

I don't pretend to know what you mean by "sleeping around," and it's none of my business. I've found my rule of thumb applies to any potentially decision I have to make about the morality of something I'm doing in my life.

It's a bit more applicable and specific than the popular "What Would Jesus Do?" :)

If you want to live your life in sin so you can "enjoy" it then that's you're prerogative, but the way to heaven is by believing in Jesus and living as he would want you to. You may have to suffer or miss out on some fun by being a Christian, but when you think about the years you spend here compared to an eternity in heaven, it's really nothing.

Hello.. If you're feeling guilty about something chances are that that is God's Holy Spirit trying to deal with your heart. Remember, the Good Shephard will leave the 99 and go after the one lost sheep. You are important to God and He is promting you to do what you know is right.
