I think that Jr. will make the chase this year, but not in the top 5. He will be too careful trying to make a big impression, but once he makes the chase he can relax a bit.

He should make the CHASE and have an outstanding year compared to last season @ DEI. I'd predict at least one win..maybe 2.. He should make the CHASE solidly and finish somewhere in the TOP 10. A top-5 CHASE finish is not likely.

If the "You can't put a mediocre driver in a good car and have him win rule" is true, then Michael Waltrip would have never won at DEI, Way I see it.
I dont see Jr. getting into the top 5 first year, I can see him solidly in the chase though, he would of been in last year if he didn't have an engine blowing up every other week, he was in position to win a few times when they grenaded on him too.
He may be overrated, he may not have the skill Sr. had, but he's a good driver.

I think he will make the chase and probably finish in the top 10 but not the top 5 next year. It will take him next year to get with the new program and I expect him to do better his 2nd year there and beyond. That's my best guess anyway.

I hope so. Look for him to be at least somewhat strong. He's been real good at Vegas ever since they paved it and made it, in my opinion, one of the most exciting intermediate tracks on the circuit. It needs a second race, under the lights.

I would bet that he'll make the Chase, but the top 5 is another story. He will be under a lot of scrutiny next year, and it will be interesting to see how he deals with the pressure.

i believe that dale jr will finish in the top 5 in the chase next year considering that dale jr has top of the line equipment for 08 season.

with everyone thinking he is gonna be another David Pearson,he might be so shook up he will be lucky to make the chase
