When I pray to God do I address God or Jesus Christ?

Question

When I pray do I direct my prayers to God or to Jesus (isn't that the same)?

You pray as Jesus did, to his father.
Jesus is the path through which we may safely approach his father YHWH (Aramaic).

His father granted Jesus certain power and authority, yet Jesus did not come to replace his father, but to glorify him.

1Cor 15:24 - 28

24 -Then the end will come, when he (Jesus) hands over the kingdom to God the Father (YHWH) after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power.

25 - For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. 26The last enemy to be destroyed is death.

27 - For he "has put everything under his feet."

=> Now when it says that "everything" has been put under him (Jesus) , it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ.

28 - When he has done this, then

=> the Son himself (Jesus) will be made subject to him (YHWH) who put everything under him (Jesus), so that God (YHWH) may be all in all.

Jesus said at Matt. 6:9 “YOU must pray, then, this way:
“‘Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified". What is that name? Ps. 83:18 says "That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah,
You alone are the Most High over all the earth."

John 14:6, 14: “Jesus said to him: ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you ask anything in my name, I will do it.’” (Do you pray in the name of Jesus Christ, recognizing that as a sinful human you need his intercession on your behalf?)

we pray to Jehovah yet whilst we end our prayer, we are saying interior the call of Jesus Christ, amen. Jesus Christ is the Son of the main Holy Father, no longer God Almighty. Jesus is seating on the ideal hand of Jehovah God.

Our Lord Jesus is the Lord God, I just googled Christ's birthday and in the scriptures presented there was a scripture that said the Lord Jesus will be known as Our Lord God. You can check Google for an author Raymond Brown that might give you some insight and answer..I can tell you when I say my prayers I start out with "Oh Heavenly Father, I thank you for the many Blessing that thou has bestowed upon me....."

NO! You must direct your prayers to Jehovah, Jesus' Father, our creator.
Pray in Jesus name.........Only praying in Jesus name will the Father hear your prayers and answer them.
Do not expect a verble answer, as God uses people and Angels to answer prayers.

Jesus was God`s creature just like you and me who had a miraculous birth. he can not answer our prayers, especially if you think he is dead.... how can he help us.
God The Creator of Jesus, is The Only One who can answer our prayers, even if our concept of God is perverted ... even then He is the Only One ABLE to answer our prayers.

Indeed, there have been times when devotion to God in the person of the Holy Spirit has been strong - perhaps in the 40's and 50's being the last time.
