A ham is fully cooked so starting with a low heat, you can gradually bring it up to temperature without worrying about salmonella. Use a temperature probe if you can get it inserted in the frozen meat to tell you how it's progressing. Start at about 250 degrees and raise it to 350 when the internal temperature is about room temperature.

If the ham is not pre cooked and yes not all hams are. we are hog farmers so if you have a hog sent to slaughter it will be a fresh or cured ham and needs to be baked longer. the frozen ham can be baked t he same as a thawed ham. just remember that you will need to allow extra time for the ham to thaw in the oven. I start out at 350 degrees to preheat the oven then turn it down to 300 and I bake my fresh hams based on the weight.....1/2 hour per pound. so a 8 pound ham needs to cook for 4 hours. I also use foil over the top to help keep the outside from cooking to fast and darkening. with the holidays coming up please be aware that most hams are precooked at the grocery if they are boneless. if they have a bone in them then you will need to bake them according to the butchers advice or the directions on the package.

When roasting frozen meat, poultry or fish in an oven, lower the temperature by 25 degrees and increase the roasting time by half. Use a meat thermometer to check the degree of doneness of larger cuts. Insert the thermometer after the meat has partially defrosted. Also, since it is not going to be thawed, despite your searing it, you will have extra fluid to contend with.

I wouldn't recommend baking anything frozen, this can cause the meat to be tough. It is best to let it defrost for maximum tenderness and juiciness, not to mention flavor.

It is better to thaw it first. Add an extra 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 180C and after 30 minutes then reduce temperature to 165C and cook at 20-25 minutes per lb.

Yes you can but it will just take longer than normal. Bake at a normal temp like 325-350. Hope this helps!
