We celebrate Christmas like most other Christians. Each family has their own traditions but that is true about most people whether in or out of the church.

I am Mormon and celebrated like any other America. Or at least I think I did. Hung out Christmas stockings for Santa to fill. Set out a glass of milk and cookies for Santa. With my family on Christmas eve, we went downtown to look at the Christmas lights. Before bedtime on Christmas eve, we read out of the Bible, in Luke, chapter 2 and did a little Nativity" play with the kids dressed up as Mary and Joseph, the family golden retriever acting as the donkey.

On Christmas morning we met together and opened gifts to each other that had been placed under the Christmas tree. Then finally, we shared a Christmas breakfast, with a prayer of gratitude and thankfulness shared with each other before going out in the afternoon to visit friends and family.

That is how we, a Mormon family, celebrated Christmas.

Nope. We celebrate it together with other Christians. The only addition I could make is that in addition to reading the Christmas Stories in Matthew and Luke, we also like to read the part from the Book of Mormon where they see the star and know that Jesus is being born in Bethlehem according to the prophesies that were passed down.....

I decorated my house with a billion lights this year.....

While living in Montana, the four denominations in town, including the Mormons, celebrated the Christmas Holidays together with a combined service (usually at the Methodist Church due to it being the largest). Then we would have social events to celebrate the birth of our savior - all together, and it was alot of fun.

Not that I am aware of. Each family has their own Traditions.

I think the only thing that may be different is that we don't hold a special service on Christmas Day. Our regular Sunday Meeting on the Sunday prior to Christmas is usually about Christ and Christmas- but nothing on Christmas Day.,

Well, we celebrate the birth of Christ on December 25th just like everyone else, even though the entire world knows that He was not born in December and we celebrate His birth at the same time as the Pegan Winter Solstace celebration because of Constatine who happened to be Pegan told the Christians that they could celebrate the birth of their Savior at that time. What's so different about that?

No - we had a Christmas program on Sunday during the regular worship services.

Christmas eve and Christmas day were spent with the family. We ate a great dinner last night and read the story of the nativity from the scriptures. This morning, we opened presents and spent the rest of the day playing games [skipbo, phase10, etc]

Merry Christmas
