I am 5'9. I'll date a guy who is at least 5'11 up to 6'3. I prefer someone between 6 and 6'2. I don't like a guy to be too tall, that's just my personal taste. However, I want to be able to wear heels when I go out. Height is really important to me, but there are some girls that are not so superficial, who would date a guy shorter then them. However, I have brought this question up on another board not too long ago, and the majority of responses stated that a guy should be at least the same height and much preferred taller then the girl.

I really don't know as I don't recall being approached by anyone significantly shorter than I. I am 5'6" and have dated a few guys my height or barely taller (all of whom I was taller than, when in heels)...it wasn't an issue for me, but I don't know that I'd be attracted to someone much shorter than myself (as a guy my height is already 4" shorter than the average US male height).

Like many women, my preference leans toward tall guys, but that's not all I date. ☺☻

You shouldn't freak about how tall you are. If a girl likes you, she'll like you for more than the height. Okay, I'll be honest, I'm 12, but my doctors expect me to be 5"9'-5"11', so probably around that height, but don't forget about when they wear 3" heels.

I'm 5'5 and a half...however, I really like to wear shoes that make me much taller. I probably wouldn't have ever gone for someone a lot shorter than me, but I think it's sexy when a man is comfortable enough with himself that he could be seen with a taller woman...and when a women is truly sprung...it doesn't matter! Size doesn't matter in any category...I'm talking height, width...diamonds, cars...and other topics that often come up about size ;-)

I'm 5" 8 so about 6 feet. I'm sure for most women it would depend upon their height. Some women would not take height into consideration. But, not me. I would not want a man shorter. Just a cultural bias.

I am 5', this decision is really up to you, but I say as long as he's taller or the same height as you, that works. But I do know some woman who date men shorter than them. Look at Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise. But since I am so short, I could never date someone shorter than me. I actually prefer 5'10" to 6'

Honestly, it shouldn't really matter. It should matter about what's on the inside. But I know what you mean.

I'm only 5'4". I really want them to be at least 3-4 inches taller than me. That way, if I happen to wear like, heels or some sort of shoe with a height on it, I'll at least be level with him and not towering over him.

I'm not hung up on height. I've dated men from 5'4" to 6"2. I'm 5'2" so it's rare to find a man shorter than I am - but it's not a problem if he were. I have dated men very close to my height - and I still wore heals.

I'm more concerned with the quality of the man - not his stature.

Since I've found no correlation between height and ability to love/care/provide/be healthy/sustain a good life/etc...I'm not quite shallow enough to put a height requirement on people I date. I'm 5'2.

I'm about 5 feet 10 inches tall
The minimum height for my guy would be this height.

I dont' think I could date someone shorter than me.
