Yes I did. And I retold the story to my friends and family of how Re found out that his wife Nut was cheating on him with two other gods and he cursed her decreeing that she would never give birth to her children on any day of the year. Nut was very upset and she went to the wise god Thoth for help, he comforted her, his eyes flashing with an idea, and sought out the moon.
Thoth played backgammon with the moon for tiny fractions of light/time till he very gradually accumulated 5 days. He then added these days to the 360 day year, at then end, and Nut gave birth to her children, Horus the Elder 1st, Osiris was Second, Set was 3rd, followed by Isis and then Nephthys.

And Yes its also the Birth of Mithra.

Check Biblical scholars for when the census was being taken that caused Mary and Joseph to not be able to find room at the Inn...not in December...It was MOVED there because it coincided with so many OTHER religions.

I think It also coincides with celebration of Dionysis' birth in Ancient Greece.

Christmas is in basic terms a pirated version of the Roman Saturnalia a mid-wintry climate solstice competition. The Bible says Jesus grow to be born interior the summertime, no longer in mid-wintry climate. Jesus in no way existed, so i do no longer rejoice his delivery to any extent further than I do Harry Potter's. specific, God and Santa Claus are the two fiction!

Yes - we're celebrating Yule, the Solstice and the birth of Mithra and Horus. We'll end Yule celebrations on New Year's day.

Thanks!

Actually on the 22nd I did truly enjoy celebrating the rebirth of the Sun. The goddess once again bore a beautiful day for the green man to return. Thank you.

what a wonderful question! all built one on top of the other!
but what about the true first ones (here in uk i mean)? The goddess and the god? all the other religions have tried to suffocate the originals. christmas on yule (why would they want a tree and mistletoe and and a YULE log etc? What does that have to do with arabs? Stupid sods./
and blah di blah through all the festivals!!
Why do people believe all this crap that other people tell them without reading into it first?

No. My sister and my mom got in a argument. I have a wicked headache, and I sprained my wrist and broke my toe. The only good thing today was the HoneyBaked ham.
