I am taking my cruise in January of 2008, and the cruise papers say disembarkation is at 7AM. But, when do I actually have to be off the ship by? Can I stay for breakfast? Do the restaurants stay open? How about room service?

The morning of disembarkation, they ask you to leave your stateroom with all your belongings before 8am, They will be serving breakfast between 6:30-8:30am in the buffet area and the main dining hall. I dont believe you can get room service that morning. But the coffee shop is open intil 9am that morning also. (but you will have to pay US taxes because the ship will be back in CA port. Have fun and dont worry about the last day intil you have to. Enjoy your cruise!!!!

Normally on debarkation day they start breakfast in the buffet area very early, maybe 6:00 or 6:30 and when the ship docks at 7:00 AM its usually half and hour to an hour before people are allowed to leave. The food may be available until about 9:00 AM or so. There will probably not be dining room service, nor room service. The staff starts cleaning rooms as soon as people leave preparing for the next cruise and they generally want everyone off by about 10:00AM because the next cruisers start showing u0p about noon and board about 1:00 PM.
