I am planing to go vacation in L.A. for 2 days in the New Years.
I would like to find a hotel near shopping centers, or historical themes, such as Hollywood walk of fame. Theme park is not a consideration this time.
Please suggest some better hotel locations I could choose. Thank you.

The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel (across the street from Grauman's Chinese Theatre) and the Hollywood Renaissance Hotel (in the Hollywood & Highland center) will both put you in the center of Hollywood. If you prefer Beverly Hills (and can afford it), try the Beverly Wilshire Hotel (at the south end of Rodeo Drive), the Beverly Hills Hotel, or the Four Seasons.
