Here is an EIC calculator for 2007 that I found on the Internet.
You enter your filing status, number of children, and income and it tells you your EIC.

I assume you are talking about the Earned Income Credit, not "unearned income."
Grab a copy of IRS Pub 596 from the IRS website. The 2007 version isn't out yet but here's a link to the 2006 version: http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p596.pdf The cap has been raised slightly as have the amounts payable but this will give you a good idea of what you're looking at and the rules for claiming it.

Unearned income? Are you talking about the earned income credit? The amount varies depending on your income, your filing status, and whether you have one child or more than one.

If your talking about earned income credit, their is a refund calculator by hrblock.com, if you are self employed make sure you list your income under that. You can get up to 2,000 for each child,(up to 2 only) but if you are self employed, they will deduct self employment tax from your eitc. Also, if you paid a sitter, you can list that for an additional credit.
