Does anyone experience "throat gurgles" because of the inability to burp?

I've never been able to burp. Instead, I get little "gurgles" of air that stop at the back of my throat. It's really annoying and I'm wondering if there's any cure. (Please don't try to teach me how to burp- I have tried my entire life and physically can't!) Does anyone experience the same?

My best friend has the same thing! We call them the "Erts"...Well, that's how we say it...
