Radio Shack, Edmunds or an electronics supplier.

Solar cells can be bought from any number of sources. However, it is the cells that limit the panel's efficiency, not what you do with them. So no matter how "inventive" you are, you are not going to be able to do much better than the panels that you can buy.

If, on the other side you are trying to make a better solar cell, you have to look for semiconductor processing equipment, ultra high vacuum equipment and some serious chemistry. I hope you have $10 million to build a lab for that kind of undertaking.

PS: we can already make cells with 40% efficiency and we know how to make some that are even better. It's not about how to do this stuff better, it is all about how to do it cheaper.

Good luck with your "research"!

There are several dozen methods of increasing the efficiency and if you don't know them, you are wasting your time looking for parts. You don't even mention what kind of parts you need - reflectors, lenses, coolers - so you need to get your act together.
