Not the greates picture, but it looks like a docking port so you can see the face of your i-Pod more easily when you have it hooked up to an external device.you probably hook it up with a transfer cable.

It looks like a dock for the iPod for holding it up to see the screen on a desk and if it comes with a plug in, to charge the iPod while in it. Rotten picture.

I'll give my opinion on the photo, though: It is of very poor quality, it lacks composition, the lighting is terrible, and there's no emotion. Where's the emotion...? I'm not feeling anything here! :)

It is a guitar pick and it is used to prop up the corner of whatever the heck that white thing is so that more of it shows in the picture.

Wrong forum. This is photography. Technically, a really lousy photo.
Docking unit to upload, and recharge the unit, I imagine.
