When training boxing how many different size gloves do you actually need?

do you use one size for everything? because ive seen some people use gloves for the bag different ones for mitts sparring etc?

Bag gloves are generally used fo heavy bag work, and hitting with the mitts. When doing actual sparring in the ring, usually 16oz. gloves are used. Speed bag work is normally done wearing just wraps. So if you are training, you really need only two different sets- bag gloves and 16 oz. gloves to spar.

16oz if you spar and once you get better you can go to 12 oz

depending on your weight-class. heavy guys use 18-20. smaller guys considerably lighter.
