As long as it has a steaming wand, then yes you can make steamers. If that is all that you want to do, then you wouldn't have to buy espresso beans, just some flavored syrup.
If you are going to buy espresso beans, make sure you grind them very finely.
You also are going to need:
Thermometors (steam the milk to about 150, so it won't be burnt)
Pitchers to steam the milk
Chocolate syrup to make hot chocolates or mochas
Good luck and enjoy your new machine!

Agree with all other comments, also buy the best beans you can afford. Ideally you want a grinder too so you can grind them freshly as one of the things that makes a big difference is howlong the coffee has been ground (Experts say it should be used within 3 minutes! A bit hard if you buy store bought ready ground!)

The grind is most important. Finely ground beans work the best. If it has a steamer attachment you can steam any drink.

espresso beans, bean grinder, flavor syurps if you want to make lattes. If it doesn't have a steamer on it you can just use hot milk to mix with the espresso for lattes. enjoy
