More than likely HE was born in the spring, pro ably April. This is due to the fact of the timing of the census that was ordered and the flocks in the fields. In addition the time of year to make it realistic for people to return to their home towns to register for the census. Ceasars may have been demanding but a realistic seasonal issue would be taken into account. Yes there is also some truth to a former pagan holiday in December used. Something along the lines of a star chart.

No, of course not, the first Pope decided in the year 350 to celebrate the birthday of Jesus on the day because it was when Pagans celebrated their holiday and he wanted to overshadow their holiday/convert them.

There's no consensus on if a religious Jesus was ever born at all, and if he was he would have certainly been very different than he is represented in the canonical gospels.

No...he also wasn't born in April since he died in March or April. Do the math, he was 33.5 when he died, so if he died in the spring, add 6 months and that brings us to the fall...Sept or Oct.

No, it's not important and he never told us to celebrate it ..He was more adamant about the feasts but he never said to make traditions out of any of it ..Especially the ones that focus on idles such as trees, eggs and bunnies...Don't get me started on Halloween..Of course you can get away with celebrating these weaker and beggarly elements but I think it is cheating us out of the greater grace that he has for us....

No one really cares one bit what date Jesus was born.

This question has been asked about three hundred times already, and most Christians do not care what date Jesus was born and furthermore, no one will ever agree on which date it was anyway.

We celebrate on Dec. 25, but if we moved it to July 4th everyone would say that isn't it either. SO WHAT?
