I worked in OZ for a few months, do I need to get my income tax done before flying home?

I'm from canada and I only worked here 3 months. Is it better if I get it done before I leave??

You should make sure you have all the paperwork from your employer. Some only issue it at the end of the financial year. You can do your tax return online at any time once you have the paperwork. http://www.ato.gov.au should tell you all you need to know.

follow above advice. remember you have been taxed on a 12 monthly basis at your work so there will be a decent refund after you submit your tax return.
