Losing lives, You cannot win the war on terror because these people dont want to become westernised, they prefer to live how they want and not how americans should say they should live. They will always have that terrorist instinct because they dont have an army powerful enough to inflict real damage, so they pick them off one byone with suicide bombs, One way to stop them i suppose is to round them all up and seperate the terrorists and kill them, but that would be genocide and would make bush as evil as hitler, except hitler was actually evil and bush is a dumbass that got himself into a hole he dont know how to get out of

In defeating the Saddam Hussein regime we won a war on terror. In war lives are usually lost on both sides.

Regarding the overall war on Muslim extremist terrorism, the US and its allies are winning clearly:

The terrorist regime in Afghanistan has been arrested.

The terrorist regime in Iraq has been arrested.

Numerous terrorist cells worldwide have been arrested.

The Muslim terrorists in Israel have been isolated to the Gaza strip and are now mostly in effective.

The war on terror will continue to get the support and funding from freedom loving people worldwide for many many years.

Warring now - no one is winning - all losers - that's the fact. Then war is not about losing or winning - it is an art form of work - war provide professions to the people be them American or the others - it is about who died most - either way it is good for my cause - less people it is better for the survival of sea world - animal kingdom and may be with no so many human - this blue planet can survive a little longer. 6 billions and on going - it will be not good for the forest and the mountain.

It is not about cruelty either - it is a necessity - we will not win and will not lose - we will be destroy no matter where we go

If we were not actively fighting the War on Terror, we would still be losing American lives....

Marine Barracks in Beriut
WTC 93
Kenya and Tanzania Embassies
USS Cole
Kohbar Towers
Failed attempt on LAX in 99
9-11

All happened before the "War on Terror."

You can argue that Iraq originally had nothing to do with it before we invaded, but either way, for better or worse, it is the main front of the war now, for our enemies as well.

perhaps you may actually desire to be sure in what context Iraq is a conflict. iraq is an occupied u . s . a .. Occupied worldwide places usually rally a resistence by applying their people against their occupiers. in this context how precisely does the worldwide 'terrorist' fit in? have been the French resistence in WWII terrorists because of the fact they battled the Germans who occupied their u . s . a .? needless to say many s**t disturbers have pored into Iraq which grow to be top for civil and non secular strife if everybody ever broke down the as quickly as component that united the individuals of that u . s . a . - concern of their repressive government. Iraq is constructive to interrupt into countless countries with Iran rising as a interior of reach capacity and the genuine winner of this 'journey'. to objective to be so black and white and say they're terrorists who 'hate freedom' is undeniable stupid...they see this conflict as a conflict for his or her own freedom that's a large irony.

The war in Iraq has been turned around by the outstanding leadership of General Petraeus, and the efforts of our outstanding men and women in uniform. Violence is down dramatically and the Iraqi people are actively helping us now.If we succeed in stabilizing the country, it will be a major blow against AQ. This is only one front though. We need to use Special forces or some other means to target AQ leaders hiding in Pakistan. The terrorists ideology is losing its appeal according to most polls of Islamic led countries. We must not let up until victory is achieved.

The war in Iraq has NOTHING to do with the war on terror. It is a war started to establish a base of operation in the Mid-East. Our involvement in Iraq is a boon to radical Islam and their cause. In that sense Iraq is a losing battle against "terror". The war in Iraq itself looks to be "winnable". The disenchantment of the tribal leaders with the radical elements and their current cooperation with us makes this possible. Of course with a resolution of their political differences winning loses allot of its meaning.

According to your logic, we didn't win WW2, because American soldiers died. Don't morn the fact that they died. Thank God that those men lived.
