Or you could use 30cm = 1 foot
ergo 171.3 div 30 = 5.71 feet

2.5cms= 1 inch 12 inches = 1 foot
171.3 / 2.5=68.52inches
428.25 inches/12= 5.71
5 foot 7 inches

The first answer is right...it's around 5.62 feet, but that isn't 5' 6", it's 5' 7.44".
The way I convert from meters to feet is:
x.xx meters / .3048 = x.xx feet
1.713 / .3048 = 5.62 feet
