So many ppl tell me that dreams mean something, i always thought there are just a part of your imagination but for example i heard that if you dream like a family member died...then that means that person will live longerr...but i get these dreams all the time where something will happen to me like a car accident getting injured or what ever and i would end up being paralyzed in multiple ways like suppose i cant walk or use my hands, and its very frightnening in my dream because right when i get informed that i will be paralyzed for the rest of my life, ill wake up! when i wake up im soo relieved that it wasnt true...my question is why would i keep having dreams about me being paralyzed for the rest of my life, and then waking up right when i hearr that my life is ruined by that?

You have some insecurities about your safety and wellbeing. It may be indicating that you don't have much control of your life, and that things sometimes get even beyond your control to the point you fear something bad happening. The end of the dream is with you escaping the situation by waking. One may need to have a more careful, and undercontrol approach to life. Meditation/pray could also help keep you safer. Exercise and a healthy diet could build your energy, so as to be more confident, and less able to be push into out of control circunstances by outside influences.

There are no single answers or meanings to dreams. It's likely that you have a fear in the back of your mind that you will become paralyzed someday. Perhaps it's something that happened when you were a kid. Or it could be a past life that you led coming back to haunt you. Also, talking about it helps get rid of the dreams because when you explain it you realize how unrealistic the whole thing is and that it's just a bad recurring dream. The best thing it to talk to a therapist about it. Just discussing it can help unlock the fear and make you assured that not only will it not happen, but if it does, you're life won't be over. Better to talk it out and face your fears, if that's what it is.

Dreaming that someone will die does not mean they will live longer. It means something is coming to an end - perhaps something in that person's life. Or it could be that that person represents something else entirely and that is what is coming to an end. Or if a family member dies in your dream, it could represent a separation or fear of a separation. You really need context to determine the meaning of a dream symbol.

Your dreams about being paralyzed probably have more to do with a fear you have that things beyond your control will put you in a situation that you will be negatively effected for the rest of your life, and there will be nothing you can do to recover from this "injury". It is a fear issue and may not have anything to do with a real life situation at all.

Hi Bob,

Let's see......

The car is the dreams way of showing that you are motivated and are going about your life in the world......

But, when you have a car accident, it means that something happened in your life that caused you to stop going after something you were motivated to go for..... Do you understand this?..... it means something suddenly happened in your life and you are stopped because of it....... Something that wasn't supposed to happen ("accident")......

And so you see yourself as paralyzed..... What does that mean?..... When you are paralyzed it means that you may want to go and do some things in mind, but you are absolutely restricted for whatever reasons from doing so..... You are not able to go about your daily routines because of something that left you in this position.......

and only you know what that is.......

Being in the hospital means that you need help.......

Do not accept that you will not be able to do anything for the rest of your life because of your current situations in life..... Always strive to make better of yourself....... limitations are set in the mind by the things we have come to accept..... What do you believe?...... If it can be attained, seek out ways to attain it.... and you will drive again in your dreams........

I assure you!
