I first want to say that no one should ever have to suffer at the hand of their parents and I am very sorry that you had to go through this with your father.Since you love God and want to be a christian I suggest that you read the book of Romans.. in there it speaks of homosexuality being an abomination of God ...to me ..that means he hates it.Some Christians take that one verse and decide that if you become homosexual that you will be sinning...now if you read the entire chapter one it also talks of other things being sinful and Christians seem to look over those things.I have also been taught that its better to put a stone around your neck and drown in the ocean that to harm one hair of a child.Everyone are all sinners saved by grace and no human is without sin. I believe that is why God made us all accountable for our own sins and also that is why humans are not supposed to judge each other.Humans have a hard time with that though (judging).None of us are perfect and we must all do our best.I suggest that you study your Bible more and find a good minister to talk to so he can help guide you in your life.God Bless You I hope I helped you in some small way

I am so sorry that happened to you. I can imagine that must have been very painful. The good news is, it is not your father's decision who goes to hell.
If he claims to be a christian then he definately needs to brush up on the practices of christians because that kind of behavior isn't what the bible teaches.
The even better news is you have free will to believe in Jesus and follow Him and hell won't even be an option. I hope you, if you haven't already, choose Christ. He chose you and loves you. Also, God is an AWESOME, loving, Father.
Prayin' for you and your Dad.
Update;
So you had made a decision for christ in the past? That's wonderful! We ALL have sin we need to deal with and none of us are anywhere near perfect. Do you believe that living a homosexual lifestyle is or isn't sinful? The bible says that it is. As christians we are supposed to repent from our sinful ways...Beloved, I do not believe that you chose this lifestyle I believe that your feelings for others of the same sex are valid but NOT what is best for you. God knew what was best when he designed sex the way he did. He was trying to protect us from disease and to ensure the continuance of the human race and I am sure He has other reasons that I am not aware of. Respect that he loves you and wants what is best for you. I don't want to make you angry and I certainly do not want to hurt you anymore than you already are. It is wrong for your father to treat you the way he did, he shouldn't have done what he did. You have a loving and perfect heavenly Father who sees you as a perfect creation Chose Him and he can wash away all that hurt.

Well, it is the duty of a father to teach His children the Way, and if he feels that you are not walking in the Way of the Lord, yes, it is his duty as your father to lovingly correct your path and try to draw you back into the Lord's Way.
Simply telling someone they're going to hell because they don't believe is not always the best choice of words, but on occassion it is called for. My best friend said it to me once, and I think that at the time, it's what I needed to snap me back into focus.
Unfortunately, some people think that just telling people they're going to hell is going to make them want to live God's Way, but usually it is just a turn off. People are human, and human's don't always do the right thing.
If you were offended, you have the right to confront your father, but it must still be in love. We are all better off if we can lovingly confront the things that hurt us, and also be open to being confronted by those we have offended. Tons of growth and stronger relationships result from this way of living.

That isn't very nice, some of my kids don't believe. Personally I feel its convenient not to believe because they want to feel 'in' but that doesnt' stop me from loving them unconditionally.
Your father doesn't know your heart, mind or soul, only God does and God always loves you unconditionally, too.

Not a father, not a mother, not a brother, nor a sister, nor anyone on Earth can tell you not to believe.

He's probably actually afraid you'll go to hell. Perhaps he doesn't understand non-believers and thinks he's doing the right thing. Sorry, maybe in time, the religious will learn to let go of this fear.

Maybe it's time you start fighting for your own freedom. You shouldn't feel hurt, you should feel pissed off. Depression is anger without enthusiasm. You know you didn't do anything wrong, why don't you stand up for your freedom and confront the people who hurt you.

Your father loves you very much and he is very concerned about your soul.
Jesus said, "What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul?"
Your father is right. Rejection of Jesus Christ is why you go to hell. Belief in Jesus is eternal life.
One day you will know how much your father loved you to hurt your feelings today in hopes of saving your life for eternity.
Wake up young man and listen to your dad. People who don't believe and accept Jesus as their Savior are going to hell. This is said with love for you and trying to snatch your soul from hell.

I feel your pain. It is so sad that he had to bring it up. Try to forgive him, he's your father after all and he truly believes that he's doing a good thing by trying to save. No, I'm not justifing him at all, I'm just trying to put myself in his shoes.
You hang in there. Of course you're not going to hell. There is no such thing.
EDIT: Oh man, just read your added details. Now I no longer have a wish to step in his shoes. Shameful and disgusting!
