Ive been really good friends with this girl since the summer and we hang out in school all the time, go out for lunch and hang out on the weekends occasionally. All my friends think she likes me so I told her how i really felt about her and she told me she liked me too. Ive been trying to hang out with her since i told her this and we haven't had any time together yet. Problem is now she says she only likes me as a friend. Is there anything i can do?

Nope. She might come around and start liking you, but I really wouldn't get my hopes up.

There may have been an element of spice in not really knowing if you guys really liked eachother in that way. Now that the cats out of the bag, it's not fun anymore. Now she probably feels different around you, she is avoiding you because of the awkwardness. Drop the bf/gf thing, and try to go back to being friends. That second chance at friendship may bring you closer, and may acutally increase the chance of a real bf/gf situation in the future

Back off a little. Respect what she has told you. Be friends, hang out, have fun. But, don't push too hard or you'll just drive her away even more. Maybe on down the road, feelings for you will develop, but there's nothing you can do to MAKE them happen. You can't make a heart love somebody. You can lead a heart to love, but you can't make it fall.

jus dont push the issue too much. dont be too clingy or obsessive. she might think that ur weird and then there wont be a friendship period. jus let it flo and let it take its course. if its meant to be then it will happen. good luck

It means as far as she is concerned, there is no chemistry between you and she is looking for someone else. Move on man.
