We as born again christians are purified through the work of the Lord Jesus Christ and the work of the Holy Spirit.

Also these scriptures may pertain to this question.

Tts 2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

Tts 2:12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

Tts 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

Tts 2:14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

Tts 2:15 These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.

Tts 3:3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, [and] hating one another.

Tts 3:4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,

Tts 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

Tts 3:6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;

Tts 3:7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Tts 3:8 [This is] a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.

Tts 3:9 But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.

I'll just be satisfied to accept the work of the Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit for my purification. If I put my hands to His work it would contaminate it and it would not be pure.

God purifies my spirit through correction and love.
This is an on going process. The Holy Spirit is my guide, teacher and comforter, just as Jesus promised. By feeling remorse, regret or even sorrow God has shown me his path. Through joy and laughter, family and friends he reminds me his love is unconditional. Mostly, I’m in awe at how patient he is with me.

I see how God puts people, places and words in my path to hear him. I tell people if you acknowledge him…he will acknowledge you.
I pray often throughout the day, I believe in relationship above religion… every time God speaks to my heart, answers my questions I’m just as excited… as if it’s the first time I’ve heard his voice.

Good one...after the Bolld has been applied, and we are Born of the Spirit..we then are (supposed to know this)..go through a further cleansing process "the Laver" which is the "Washing of water by the Word" the cleansing of the soul..(very important..!) this is where the Relationship is most important between Father and son (daughters) to learn to be Christ Like, and grow up in Him in all things...(maturity as sons) learning to "Walk in the Spirit" learn His voice...(the Voice of the Lord) where He "puts His laws into our minds, and upon our hearts will He write them..." understand? "Peace!"
