It is never too late to get circumcised- and for that reason, you need to realise that circumcision is NOT your choice to make for your son, but rather a choice your son should be given when he becomes an adult. There's no good reason to do it, any "benefits" it would have given him as an infant have passed abnd now all the "benefits" mostly pertain to men, sex, and sexual health. Teach your son how to clean himself when the foreskin retracts and talk to him about abstinence and condoms when he enters adolesence. Its that simple to keep an intact man healthy. Are you aware that circumcision removes many pleasurable nerve endings? The most sensitive parts of the penis are on the foreskin, on a circ'd man, the most sensitive spot is often his scar. Circumcision has also been linked to sexual disfunctions later in life. The united states is the only 1st world country that still carries out this practice routinely on underage boys. Removing a piece of healthy tissue for no plausable benefits would be extremely cruel. Additionally, at this age children are learning about bladder control and thier genitals and inflicting pain and injury to this body part for reasons he can't possibley understand can cause him significant psychological harm. Most cultures which circumcise do it either at birth or in later childhood as a rite of passage. Few, if any, do the procedure at this delicate age. Be kind and leave your son alone, its his body, if its that important to you, offer to pay for it for him when he turns 18 and can choose it for himself. Between then and now he will not be missing any great "benefits" of the procedure. And as he is old enough to remeber, he may well grow up wishing you had left him intact if you do the procedure now. -Neb

Why should he have been circumcised? No child needs to be circumcised, and if he's fine so far then he will stay fine. It will be harder now he's older and also you're leaving it late that he might well remember it (but definitely not understand it) which could really traumatise it. I say as it's fine how it is then leave him the choice.

Its not too late, but I would advise you to forget about circumsizion and leave your son's body naturally intact.
He obviously has no medical defect with his foreskin, and likely never will have. You'll just have to be a responsible parent and show him in a few years how to take care of his personal hygiene. This will include pulling his foreskin down to wash under it.
By the sounds of it, you dont actually know much about this painful and irreversible surgery. Do some proper research and you'll probably reconsider. I hope you do.
Good luck.

No. However the procedure is different. It is considered a surgery in the U.S ( not in some other countries though) and will be more expensive then if you had him circumsized as a newborn.
"In older and adolescent boys, circumcision is usually done under general anesthesia while the child is completely asleep. The foreskin is removed and stitched onto the remaining skin of the penis. Stitches that dissolve are used to close the wound. They will be absorbed by the body within 7 to 10 days. The wound may take up to 3 weeks to heal."
P.S. in some parts of the world it is common for older boys to be circumcised.

I wouldn't go through with the procedure. It's becoming a much more popular choice not to circumcise because it causes unnecesary pain. Your son likely won't have any problems.

I do not think that it should be done now at 3!! If you noticed at 10 months that you should have done it then why are you just now asking this question? at three he will feel the pain and it can cause him problems with going to the bathroom.....plus what if it was you- would you want it done after that long of a time??

Shouldn't you be asking a pediatrician this question? It can be done this late but it will be harder on a ten month old because of the tendency for the child to move around and disturb the wound.

It's not too late though I wouldn't advise having it done at this moment,(your choice though) it's still surgery with all the same risks.
Wait awhile till he's in adolescence, then talk to him about.

HAVE IT DONE, WITHOUT ANESTHETIC(AS THEY DO TO BABIES). YOU WILL ENJOY HIM SCREAMING IN TERROR THE WHOLE 10 OR 15 MINUTES WHILE THEY MUTILATE HIS HEALTHY PENIS AND LEAVE HIM WITH A BLOODY MESS. THEN YOU WILL HAVE FUN TRYING TO KEEP THE OPEN WOUND FROM GETTING INFECTED. IT WILL ALSO BE INTERESTING TO SEE IF COMPLICATIONS DEVELOP(LIKE SCARRING, DAMAGE TO THE URETHRA ETC.)
WATCH ONE OF THE VIDEOS WITH SOUND, OF CIRCUMCISION OPERATIONS ON THE INTERNET(GOOGLE IT) SO YOU KNOW WHAT SADISTIC PLEASURES AWAIT YOU.
