HD Ready is 1080i, (1366 x 768) you need a different TV, 1080p (1920 x 1080) for full HD. There is no HD Freeview yet, the best you can get is Sky or Virgin HD or an upscaling DVD, but you still wont get 'Full' HD.

You need to buy a HD box for hi-def TV. You could invest in a PS3 and you would be able to play hi-def or blu-ray discs I say PS3 because I believe that is the cheapest hi-def/blu-ray dvd player at the present time rather than a stand alone player, but I could be wrong, however, you would have to make sure you have a HDMI or component connector in order to transmit the hi-def signal to your lcd screen as ordinary scart isn't up to it.

Yeah you wont get anything which is HD unless you subscribe to HD channels (which sky and virgin do).
