I'm in to I guess the 'emo' scene and my boyfriend is in to metal. He loves me for me, but I think he'll love me more if I'm into metal and dress like the chicks he likes. Should I change for him?

Relationships are about compromise but not changing. Be who you are. If he wants you to be a metal chick one night for a concert or something that's fine. Dressing a certain way is only clothes unless it goes against your values. But don't change your core being for anyone.

nope. I mean, once in a while, if u are comfortable with it, to make him happy then ok. But don't change ur style of dress etc for him as a permanent thing. You won't be happy unless u get to be u. .....ask him to dress a certain way that u like too.

Deep down you already know the answer to this one chick,but the most attractive people are the ones who are confident and not the followers.Its hard to find the right balance.it takes time,but if you lead your own life and follow your own heart,then if he goes you will find that it wont be the end of the world anyway,and that confidence in yourself will guarantee you will sexy xxx

nooo blimey always wear what u feel compy in your clothes is a big part of your identity, if you want to change for your own reasons, by all means go for it, and dont look back, but for someone else, no, he will love you for who you are. And your diffrences probly are what keep you together, rember opposites attract!! If he doesnt love you for who you are (which sounds like he does love you) then he aint worth keeping!!!

Don't change for your boyfriend when it comes to your personality. If he doesn't like you for WHO YOU ARE, then he shouldn't go out with you in the first place. Be yourself girl!

Dont ever change who you are for any male. If he loves you for you, then thats just it. I think your probly insecure about yourself if you want to change yourself for a guy who already loves you for you. Be who he fell in love with, because chances are if you do decide to dress "rockish" then he mite second guess his love for you..STAY YOU

You could try changing something that's temporary, like try on some metal stuff he likes, and see his response. If he absolutely loves it on you, then go for it. If his response is "I dont know" then stick with your own style.

If he likes you as you are then why would you change? He got into the relationship knowing and liking who you are, don't change because he may not like that. Be yourself.

Be yourself. You said he loves you for you so why do you want to change? If someone expects you to be something you arent then they do not like you so why would you want to be with them?

you should live by this rule: dont change for ANYBODY.
you are who you are
and the fact that your unique is a blessing.
you really werent meant to be if HE wants you to change for him
but im sure he doesnt, and you dont need to concern yourself over his kind of likes.
