First of all, ages: I'm 19, shes 18. Her parents are overly controlling, and she gets the brunt of it, being the oldest girl left at home (out of 8 kids, and her older sister was really rebellious). Anyway, when we're around her parents (I go to the same church), she wont talk to/ barely looks at me, will only talk if i talk to her first, etc. After church on Christmas Eve, i said hello to her, said something else, she laughed, smiled, and then said she had to go (her mother was right there).

Anyway, now the other side of the coin; When we're not around her family (In SS, if we go skating or something in a group, etc), we look/ smile at each other a lot, pick on each other all the time, and if somethings funny or something, she'll look right at me and smile/ laugh. When I stop by her work or something though, and we're the only 2 around, she's shy/ reserved, and waits for me to initiate conversation.. Mixed signals, or what? She's never had a BF before..maybe she d

to act? Last Thursday, I went skating, and her family was there.. Their car broke down on the way over, and we gave them a ride..i drove one vehicle, and my dad drove the other... there was room in the other car, but she came into the one me/ her younger brother were in, even though the rest of them (5) were in the other car. Her brother was being very loud/ obnoxious on the way, and when we got there, she apologized for his behavior, and when i said it was no big deal, she blushed a bit, if that matters..lol

We're both going ice skating with our SS, and without her family, tommorrow...should i ask her to skate then,or would the parents get offended? I've known her parents/ her for 8 YEARS, and her becoming shy around me when we're the only 2 around is a new developement.. Why is that? Do you think she likes me? And, what to do next? So confused. -_-

i think u should talk to her parents.
explain to them how u feel about it,
and get them to think ur a good guy.
ask to go on a date or something.
then tell her, and ask her.

I can relate wit that first paragraph so much but I do it 2 him more than he does me. Anywayz, I think she jus may be shy around u so let her know that u like her or wateva and try 2 get in good wit her parents so they will like u and let them know u dont want 2 do anything 2 harm her, you jus want 2 get 2 know her a little better, thats all

It sounds to me like you are not very sure of yourself. Step back and take a break. Pray about it for at least 2 or 3 days.
