I had this guy who I really liked who I thought liked me too, say "I can get a lot hotter looking women than you". That hurt. What should I do, should I stop talking to the SOB? He ruined my Christmas.

The art of successful dating/relationships/marriage is based on perception. You being an intelligent and obviously discerning young woman would have learned an important lesson from this... To maintain any form of relationship with any man in future will mean that you have to try and decipher before that relationship takes meaning that the person will be worthy of your love and friendship... without wishing to sound obtuse, class and commonality have a lot to do with the person we inevitably settle for. You would have intuitively known before he said what he said that he wasn't the one for you, but you pursued the relationship anyway... right?

It won't be just you - or just women -
There are people out there that seek power through intimidation and part of that is making you feel like crap
The odd thing about this is that people who practise these behaviours are themselves weak and scared - they often transfer their fears unto you or whoever - in this very odd way you can take a compliment
He was intimidated by you and therefore he needed to bring you down so he could function and feel just barely OK about himself
Now here is the advice part
Run - grab your as-s and run - go find a guy who has no such issues and don't look back either
Oh and one other thing - When you do run and reject him your value in his eyes will increase not diminish
As a result expect the attempts to bring you down to get temporarily worse - and then stop

SO long up Chuck !! You are too wonderful and young to stay boged down with this one. He does not believe u are the cats whisker's dump his asp. Buy your own jewels and I bet you shall find another around the corner who will cherish you.

Someone who is intelligent and respects you. This guy does not so why the heck are you giving him your time of day? You're time in valuable and any man should feel privledge if your giving it to them. Your better than how this man treats you so move along and find someone better. And dont EVER question behavior like this. The second someone talks to you like that slap him upside the head and give him the boot! First, no one can ruin a good time for you unless you let them; this guy is not worth your sorrow or even anymore of the braincells you need to think about him. Men like him have abusive personalities and they NEED t put other people down in order to feel good about themselves. It's nothing you did wrong and there's nothing you can do to make him not want or need to continue to do it for you, but it kind of sounds like you've already figured that part out for yourself. Good for you for being able to realize that this is his issue and not yours, many people aren't able to do this and get stuck trying to make things better, getting deeper and deeper into a dead-end relationship. Dump him, move on and don't give him another thought; you deserve soooo much better!

Yes, by all means give him the gift of FREEDOM, send him off on a one way ticket and no forgiving. You found a jerk like many have in the past. The question to ask is, is he the first to hurt you like this? If so, take a look at where you meet these creeps and raise your standards.

This guys isn't interested because you gave it up to him the first night! I completely understand that this isn't your style, but why would you think he would think that it wasn't anything more then sex when you gave it up to him so easy. AND by the way don't say all guys are like this, because we aren't!!! You give nice guys like me a bad name when you pass judgments like this on all men!!!
