Poor Posture due to weak muscles can cause all types of problems, neck pain, strain, being just one. I went to Pilate's, was told that I stick my chin out while I am walking, thankfully was able to correct the problem, let alone find muscles I never knew I had and really strengthen the core muscles. I agree I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, but Pilate's really helped me. Good Luck

You are probably going to have quicker results working with your neck posture directly than doing core exercises. Great to do both, but core weakness would most likely be associated with lower back pain than neck pain.
