Assuming I understand your question then, he's your cousin so he lives elsewhere, Yes, you don't have to share a house with him so just tell him to butt out of your life.

Set down with your mother and talk with her. Taking this action will show your mother that you are mature and can deal with life as an adult. That you are willing to and can be responsible.
Tell her nicely that you do not agree with your cousin, and that you are a young adult that can take care of such things.
Show your mother that you are a young adult by not going off the handle.

Simple: Tell him you are allowed to your own desires and opinions and age does not make a right. For you i'm sure have a lot of outstanding ideas that he would never ever think of. You are not him and he is surely not you. Keep your own ideas and attitudes for you are in control of your life not him

Just tell him that even though he is older than you and that you do respect him, he needs to stop controling your life. He needs to take care of his own life, not manage yours. But don't sau this in a way in which you are preparing to fight, but rather that you are disappointed in his control and that you'd like to handle things by yourself.

he family and you can't pick those people. sometime that suck. i have older family members that get on my nerves. how i got rid of them was by doing the same thing to them. if you get on their nerves they will stop messing with you and want you to leave the along. your younger which means your smarter so you'll think of something. i know it sounds crazy but it works

Talk to him about how its making your feel, tell him that your not going to put up with it anymore, if that still doesnt work, i know this sounds kinda baby-ish but you could even talk to your aunt or your mom about it!
