Whether you believe Christ was born on this very day is beside the point.
So, what IS the point?

It is now after midnight where I live and no longer Christmas Day. Time to choose an answer. I can only choose one even though there are four great answers. I would have chosen all four if I could.

The "point" is that Jesus Christ was born, as the Saviour of mankind, to reconcile us back to God the Father by His sacrifice and the shedding of His blood for the remission of our sins. Thank you Jesus!

The point is that unto us a child was born! The greatest gift you can give anyone this Christmas are the words of everlasting life.
It is important to remember that God has created each of us as individuals with different gifts and talents which makes us unique.
It is for this reason that we should love ourselves and use what God has given us for our betterment and not look at what others have in envy or jealousy.
We who have trouble in this area of life must see our self-worth and know that God
loves us just the way we are and has equipped us stand in confidence and to reach forth towards victory.
(Galatians 4:4-7) (Ephesians 1:4) (Jeremiah 31:3)

No, it doesnt matter what day Jesus was born on. WE are to know about Jesus and love Him every day and believe in Him, and to desire to be like Him, think like Him, speak like Him, just as God commanded us to do. Obeying God if we truly love Him.
THe day of His birth doesnt matter, but we arent to take part in pagan stuff. Its ok to celebrate Jesus on Dec. 25, and do it every day, and have it about Him, not the materialism and greed of the world, or the pagan santa clause, Chritmas tree and all of that. This is to celebrate Jesus, and as long as we do only that, we will honor God and be blessed.
We dont celebrate a traditional Christmas at our house, as it dishonors God to have all the pagan stuff around us.
But, we do use this time of year to celebrate Jesus, and not just his birth, but also His life, death , burial and resurrection, for therein lie our blessed hope. Jesus is coming soon, and thats what this is all about.
Keep it about Jesus. Know who God is and who you are in Christ. Be ready to meet Him when He comes and stay ready. WE must be fully GOds or we arent really His at all, and HE does know our HEART.
GOd bless you> Happy Jesus' B/day.
May all who truly seek HIm find HIm and do it soon, while there is still time.
The point??? Its all about Jesus Christ. Not about all the other stuff that most say its about. Goodness, even the athiests celebrate Christmas.
LEts make it about Jesus again, and tell the good news to the world.

Yeah, so what was your point in saying this? Those of us who don't celebrate pagan holidays still wont. posting this wont makes us. How can you celebrate something for someone who would NOT approve of it? It started out as the worship of a false god SO Jesus Christ would not and will not except it. HE DIDN'T EVEN CELEBRATE HIS BIRTHDAY so what gives you the right to try and force something like this, even upon him?
