There is an implied intimacy involved with sharing food or a drink.
These guys are playing a psychological game. They're trying to use a trick to "shortcut" into your good graces.
If he "acts" like a boyfriend, he thinks you will begin thinking of him as a "boyfriend" and will reward with with another kind of intimacy.
Its a dumb trick, and I doubt it ever works.

Alot of people do that because they know there's no such thing as girl germs and stuff like that, it's probably not anything major to worry about lol. It's nice to get something to drink when you're thirsty and I do that alot to people hehe. I like it when people don't mind :P

A lot of people do that to other people. They think there's nothing wrong with that (speaking of germs of course), but germaphobes hate it when people do that.
