... I am *not* as I came across when I first started posting but just had a *particular* problem with my DIL (over teflon) and now that is resolved - but we will always have other differences and I will welcome genuine advice in the New Year when the boys go back to school.
I'll leave it to New Year's Eve to decide.
I don't mean trolls and clones - I mean those well-meaning people who genuinely misunderstood what I was saying and my character too.

She has also realised that she *does* need to spend more time with *her* children - and has had to because I have had other things to do rather than act as a surrogate Mother for her.
I have left them all alone for Christmas (because I wanted to be alone) and I really hope that they had a good Family Christmas like I used to have with my boys and I had as a child - I hope so.

Joan,if it were me, I would leave things as they are.Do you really need the input of people who are quick to judge or just rude.Who needs the grief. You have a solid base of contacts annd fans who will give serious answers whether they agree with you are not.I would prefer a mature response on a serious question rather than cruel or rude comments.Of course some questions are meant to be funny and light hearted and it is ok to respond in kind.It is up to you what you do but give it some more thought by asking yourself what do you stand to gain if these same people behave the same way.Take care

yes, because some that you have blocked were probably just giving well meaning advice and were not trying to be mean on purpose. Glad your family problems have sorted out. If they start giving you problems again you can always block them again.

I think you would benefit from unblocking them - my husband was one of the ones you blocked and at times he wanted to answer some of your questions with genuine advice.

Any advice you don't like just ignore.

I did this the other day and within 20 minutes I got two really abusive emails. Both from cowardly people who wouldn't let me respond. I wouldn't bother if I was you. If you blocked them it was probably for good reason and I wouldn't blame yourself.
