Tajing my girlfriend to DC tomorrow. I was wondering if anyone had any last minuite ideas of what to do. Where to eat. What to see. Meauseums are good but expensive. I want to go to the memorials. Have a car and plenty of gas. where to park. what to take around town. any ideas? maybe at night, or sun down, anything romantic? maybe some nice things are ok. but i want to keep it under or around $100 for the day. The museums in DC are free to go to....unless they changed it in the last year or so. That's the great thing about DC....so much of it is free. One thing that I've always loved to do in DC is go sit on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial at night. Everything is lit up and it's so pretty! You could walk along the mall at night, too, along the pools of water....can't think of what they're called right now. Eating can be a challenge, but anywhere in Union Station is nice.

That's a tight budget for DC. I love just riding the trolley cars around getting off and on at various museums, etc. They're pretty cheap for an all day pass. Take the subway to Arlington. I fing that romantic in an odd sort of way. It has a very sacred atomosphere and Kennedy's grave is very interesting, and with his history, it's gotta be romantic somehow! have fun and good luck! peace
