Long story short, on Saturday I went to an Urgent Care clinic b/c I had been having mild stomach pain for a week. The doctor thought I had appendicitis b/c of rebound pain and marked guarding. I did NOT have a fever, I had NOT thrown up. I wasn't that miserable. I went to Emergency Room and Ultrasound said I did not have appendicitis or any other problem. They said it was probably ovulation.

Now, it's Tuesday, and I feel miserable. My mom doesn't have a thermometer, but I am certain I have a fever. I haven't been this sick for a year. My throat is a sore, my body aches badly, I have chills, and little to no apetite. I am worse then this morning when I first woke up. Obviously I was well enough to type this but I still feel horrible, and I rarely get sick.

Coincidence? Do I just have the flu? Is this something to do with Saturday and last week? Please tell me.

Keep in mind I don't want to make my family take me to the hospital AGAIN if I just have the flu.

Forgot to say that my stomach isn't really bothering me much.

None of my family is sick and I haven't been in school since Friday. Don't know where I could have caught the flu or a bug.

if your stomach is not bothering you, then it is probably not the flu.

I wouldn't worry about "inconveniencing" your family by having them take you to a doctor. If you need to see one, then you need to see one.

Well you can rule out appendix which is good. Could be ovulation, could be constipation, when did you last have a bowel movement? Fever, sore throat, body aches sounds like the Flu. You do not state if while you were at the Urgent Care Clinic if they did any blood tests? If they did and all was normal, chances are it is the Flu. As from where you contacted it, well Flu is a funny virus, some people are 'just' carries have no symptoms, or signs of the Flu, but can and do pass it on. Good Luck
