Before or after they went into the military? For instance those that served in Vietnam made on average more than those that didn't go once those peple got out. The same thing happened as the result of WWII. There are several famous rich people that served in the military and even some were vets.
I think the richest "young" soldiers are either British (the princes and John Mayer (singer, served in Yugoslavia)) , Prince Bandar of Saudi Arabia (air force) or Pat Tillman enlisted while they were rich.
There are problaby more, such as children of business leaders, that we never hear about.

You're asking for statistics, but the particular statistic you're asking for is a generalized, almost child-like term.
What's defined as "super-rich kid"? What ages, what are their parent's income? Where do they live?
However, you are right about one thing - the middle class makes up most the of population of the country, and it's there where the majority of recruits and officer candidates come from.

Does it really matter?
One that serves is one that serves whether from the middle and low class to the high class.
I could care less what economic class a person comes from when he/she decides to enlist. I respect the fact that they signed their name on the dotted line and took the oath.

not necessarily true. Many kids that enlist are doing so to pay for education that wealthy parents refuse to pay for. Others enlist because it helps on the resume. One thing that all have in common with enlisting is that they want some sort of benefit for themselves. I question how many are really enlisting for the sake of just supporting our country.
