My camera has a setting (and i don't want to change it) that allows it to place the date the picture was taken on in the bottom right-hand corner. for some photos (like christmas) its really nice, but others its just an annoying distraction. How do i get rid of it on that specific picture without using photoshop. If its impossible, thats fine, but i still want to know about it.
Details people, details.

Once it is there, it is there and it can only be removed in an imaging program. You have to learn to switch the date imprinting function on and off so you only use it when you want it. Personally, I never use it as I don't want any of my pictures ruined with a date showing. Remember the exif information on a digital photograph contains not only the date, but the exact time it was taken and full exposure details.

The date stamp is an option that you can turn on and off inside your camera settings. Since you didn't mention which camera you have, you need to pull out the manual and find the setting. It should be real easy to turn on and off.
Unfortunately, once it's recorded on the image, photoshop is about the only way to remove it.

You should be able to go to the settings menu and remove it.
If you still have that photo on your camera memory or s/d card you could try cropping it off.
