How doth the earnest atheist
Cope sans God, faith, or Soul,
And pass up the baptismal font
And Heaven as a goal?

How worthily he lives his life
Yet never fears to pause
To search the skies for Jesus' arms
Or duck old Satan's jaws!

Ahh...gentle sarcasm. Truly a lost art. That is really neat little poem...it would be perfect on a tombstone.

Excellent.

I'll have to return to the era, and rearrange some Thomas Henry Huxley:

Stripped of hopes and consolations,
That massed mankind employ,
What profit from a naked course,
When comfort might employ?

Truth outmatches comfort!
Lose child and wife, and fame,
there is no ground to make the lie.
The answer is the same

Well, I can see how some might be offended, but I just find it kinda funny -- can you continue, line for line, with the LC poem? Maybe throw the Christians in there, a few Buddhists, Muslims with their 72 virgins, and so on? Could be fun.
